Book Worm and AR Point Clubs
What is the difference between Book Worm Point Club and AR Point Club?
Book Worm Point Club recognizes readers in kindergarten and first grade. Most books enjoyed by early readers have a 0.5 or one point value. This point club is awarded in 5 point increments to 25 points. When a Book Worm achieves 25 points, the next goals are 35 points and 50 points. After a student earns 50 points, awards are given in 25 point increments as in AR Point Club.
AR Point Club is for readers in second through fourth grade. This point club is awarded in twenty-five point increments.
Point Clubs are announced once a week during the morning announcements. Point Club members receive a certificate, a vehicle for the "Reading Highway" and their photograph is displayed.
An end of the year AR Awards Program recognizes our reading successes.
